Former Gucci CEO chairs Golden Goose

Italian luxury footwear brand Golden Goose recently announced that Patrizio Di Marco, former CEO of Italian luxury brand Gucci, has joined the company as chairman. Marco De Benedetti, former chairman of Golden Goose’s board of directors, will continue to be a director of Golden Goose. He is also a managing director and partner of European Buyout, a European investment company owned by Carlyle Group, a US private equity giant. In addition, Giorgio Presca, the current CEO of Golden Goose Group, announced his departure after a year and a half. He joined Golden Goose from Italian shoe company Geox in March 2017. His responsibilities include organizing the company structure and expanding its global business. The cheap golden goose was founded in 2001 in Venice, Italy by Francesca Rinaldo and Alessandro Gallo. In March 2017, Carlyle Group completed the acquisition of Golden Goose through its Carlyle Europe Partners IV, a merger and acquisition fund for large and medium-sized European companies.
