Dance shoes: cheap golden goose introduces a new limited edition sneaker called “Yes!”
Inspired by cultural fusion and dance energy, the neutral style reinterprets one of the company’s archival designs through contrasting panels, vivid color combinations and striking textures.
In particular, the model features leopard inserts and the brand’s iconic star on the upper side, with gold toe caps and red trim accented with “GGDB / LTD EDITION”. The rear rubber-injected sole and bold purple logo ends the funky look, and for the first time is additionally equipped with near field communication (NFC) wireless technology. As a result, customers simply need to place their smartphone in front of the correct shoe to authenticate the sneaker with the built-in ID tag.
The sneaker will be available exclusively at the brand’s electronics store for 300 pieces on Wednesday. The pair will retail for 410 euros. The shoe will be available in stores in December with a wider range of color and texture combinations.
To facilitate the release, a short video was posted on the company’s YouTube channel and social media. In the clip, a group of New York street dancers were bombarded by Golden Goose’s golden speakers in the “sugar-like” notes of Chaka Khan
Recently, the Venice-based company became the latest Italian brand to attract potential investors and became the center of market speculation. Sources said that a “trailer dossier” had been submitted to potential bidders and seven to eight companies were said to have shown some interest, including PVH Corp., Permira, Advent and Ralph LaurenCorp.
As reported earlier this week, former Gucci creative designer Frida Giannini is said to have designed the brand’s ready-to-wear and accessories for months.
